Season 09, Episode 24 – “London SouthEast Dessert”

It is dessert course day, with the London and south east chefs competing for one of two places in the judges’ chamber – the competition couldn’t be tighter. Whoever scores the lowest will be going home and Tom Sellers, Adam Byatt and Adam Simmonds are doing everything they can to make sure it isn’t them.
Season 09, Episode 25 – “London and South East Judging”

The two remaining London and South East chefs prepare their entire menus for Prue Leith, Matthew Fort, Oliver Peyton and guest judge Joy Hunter, who worked in Winston Churchill’s war cabinet as a secretary. Only one contender can make it through to represent their region in the national finals and get the chance to cook at a banquet held in St Paul’s Cathedral to mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day.

Season 09, Episode 26 – “North East Starter”

Three of the north east’s finest chefs, Michelin-trained Paul Welburn, Michelin-starred Frances Atkins and returning champion Colin McGurran, cook their menus for the mystery veteran judge. Third-timer Colin’s back to regain his crown after falling at the final hurdle in 2013, and is up against two competitors with strong personal connections to the brief. But will it all prove too much for Frances, whose father fought on D-Day itself?
